Sea Shell butterflies

We've been talking about spring and caterpillars and butterflies; so we decided to make some butterflies out of shells; so a few days ago we painted shells and the next we glued them together and added some pipe cleaners and eyes and we have a bunch of beautiful butterflies. It's cool to see how Johnathan's creations are getting more planned; Audrey's are still slap on the paint and it's done. We might get some magnets to put on them to use on the frig, but for now the kids are just having fun playing with them

Hi there,

Just came across your blog. I'm wondering if you glued the shells together or if you used something in between the two shells. It's a wonderful and cute idea. I have a box of shells for my girls to paint.
